Biografia
Vesevo è l’antico nome del vulcano che domina il Golfo di Napoli. Da quella stessa terra nasce la band partenopea formatasi nel 2014, formata da tre musicisti cresciuti all’ombra del Vesuvio e forti di un’esperienza consolidata nei repertori della musica popolare campana e, più in generale, del Sud Italia.
Il progetto artistico di Vesevo non si limita a reinterpretare la tradizione: la attraversa, la decostruisce e la rigenera, trasformandola in materia viva e viscerale con cui dare voce al flusso dinamico dei suoni del presente.
Dopo l’esordio omonimo del 2015, recensito da The Guardian, il trio ha pubblicato Tien’ ’a ment per Liburia Records nel 2025. L’esordio è stato recensito anche da Songlines; nel 2017 il trio si è esibito a WOMAD UK.

Biography
Vesevo is an ancient name for the volcano overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The band was formed in 2014 in the same region by three musicians who grew up in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius and have deep experience with the traditional music of Campania and southern Italy.
Vesevo does more than reinterpret tradition: the trio explores, deconstructs and renews it, turning it into vivid, visceral music shaped by the sounds of the present.
Their self-titled debut was released in 2015 and reviewed by The Guardian. Their second album, Tien’ ’a ment, followed on Liburia Records in 2025. The debut was also reviewed by Songlines, and the trio appeared at WOMAD UK in 2017.
